ABOUT / FAQ

My name is Davey, and I've got a shitty brain.

I draw things to help myself feel better, and to hopefully inspire others to talk about their own mental health. Life isn't easy for a lot of people, and no one should ever have to feel like they're alone. Let's talk about it and help eachother figure out how to turn the nightmare of existence into something beautiful.

10% OF ALL STORE PROFITS ARE DONATED TO SUICIDE PREVENTION PROGRAMS

Go To Death, tell her she can wait.

PS: I'd really like to do this full time, so if you enjoy my work and would like to see more of it, please consider supporting me on Patreon!

Q: Only some of my order has shown up in the mail, did something get messed up?

A:
We use a fullfillment and drop-shipping method for some of the DEMONS merch currently, so anything coming from that warehouse will be in a separate package. Usually all products will arrive within a week of each other, excluding pre-orders. The goal however, is to eventually produce everything in-house so that it can arrive in a single, more personalized package.

Q: How often do you donate the 10% profits, and who are you donating them to?

A:
Donations will be made quarterly, and will increase to monthly once sales volume allows. Donations will only be going to certified, and proven organizations. Primarily, NSPL and AFSP, based on their easy and reliable access for people in crisis. The long term goal of DEMONS is to become a full non-profit someday!

-

Q: Why should I give you money instead of donating directly myself?

A:
You should donate yourself! The goal is to get more people talking about mental health, raise money to donate more myself, and hopefully be able to create artwork full-time in the process. Suicide prevention programs have helped me multiple times, and I want to give back as much as possible.

Q:
Why use demonology as inspiration for fighting depression? Shouldn't it be the opposite?

A:
I heard the term "fighting my demons" too many times. In my case, I found comfort in learning to listen to my darkest thoughts, understand them, and work with them. This method of "befriending my demons" isn't anything new, but it's why I'm still here. There's a lot to learn by getting to know your pain rather than ignore it.

-

Q: I understand the metaphor around demons and mental health, but what's with the use of anti-religious imagery?

A:
The religion that was pounded into my head at a young age claimed that "if you kill yourself, you'll go to Hell" Pinning it as an act that you should be ashamed of thinking about, which caused me to hide my suicidal ideology out of fear of shame. It's the same religion that thinks LGBTQ people are going to Hell too. I respect anyone's religious beliefs as long as they aren't judgemental and causing harm to others... so if you're offended, it's intended.

Q: I'm sad, and need someone to talk to... do you have a minute?

A: Always. No need to buy anything, just use the contact page on this site, or DM me on any of my socials. I will never judge you or share your story with others. <3
